Air Motor Consumption

An air motor is a pneumatic driven source of energy very common for mixers and agitators. To use a pneumatic motor you will need a source of compressed air with enough pressure and air flow to properly run the mixer shaft and impeller. Air motors can be supplied in direct drive and gear drive arrangements, and in both industrial and all stainless steel sanitary designs.

Air Pressure = to provide enough torque for an air operated mixer agitator we suggest an incoming air pressure in the 60-100psig range. It is very common to set the incoming air pressure with a regulator to 80psig.

Air Flow = air flow is usually regulated with a control valve, and this controls the speed of the pneumatic driven mixer.
