Agitator Service Repair
Industrial Mixer Repair
Can you save time and money on mixer and agitator repair?
Is it possible to reduce agitator mechanical seal cost by 50%?
Can we increase mixer and blender uptime?
Customers frequently complain that it is difficult to find a service and repair facility that is experienced with mixers and agitators. There are hundreds of quality shops who can repair gearboxes and motors, but few who are experts in industrial mixer gearboxes. Our goal is to save our customers time and money by offering agitator repair and retrofit services so they can tend to more important issues at the plant. It is very common for us to save end users 50% of mechanical seal costs by offering a repair. It is typical to reuse most of the agitator parts and get the unit running to new condition without lengthy and expensive costs.
Our focus is on mixer, agitator, and mixer mechanical seal repair and troubleshooting. Some typical mixer failure causes:
• Shaft runout (shaft excessive wobble or a slightly bowed or bent mixer shaft)
• Improper mechanical seal for the duty, or incorrect seal faces/elastomers
• Gears need replacing
• Bearing squealing and needs to be replaced
• Oil leaking due to faulty oil seal
• Unbalanced mixer shaft/impeller system
It is important to save any failed components so the root cause of failure can be determined. If you have a failed mechanical seal save it as some of the parts may be reused to repair it. Send your mixer to us for free evaluation to determine if we can repair it at a reasonable cost, or save you money by suggesting an alternative seal for the job. How we repair a mixer or agitator:
Agitator repair is available for most industrial mixer manufacturers.
-Determine scope of repair required, and weight/size of equipment to figure out best path forward to optimize the service
- We determine why the mixer component failed, and what options are available to repair. We make suggestions that will lead to increased agitator service life.
- All mixer and seal components are completely cleaned, measured, evaluated, and inspected by the engineering department to determine which parts can be re-used.
- Seal faces can typically be re-used and are lapped to 2 light bands which is industry standard.
-Motors can often be rewound and tested
-Shaft will typically be checked for runout and balance
- Seal materials can be upgraded as needed depending upon an engineered review of the seal application or by customer request. We offer any available seal faces, and can make suggestions based on your process details. GRAS and sanitary faces available.
- After final assembly are inspected and if possible tested.
- All mechanical seals we repair in our facility are tested.
-If FDA or USP VI elastomers are required on the job certification is provided
-Certs are included for any Polishing and electropolishing of wetted parts or seal debris wells
We repair and service motors, mechanical seals, gearboxes, shafts, impellers, and mounting plates/pedestals for agitators, mixers, blenders, reactors, centrifuges, blowers, compressors and just about any rotating equipment.
